The Department of Jewelry Design at Soong Eui Women’s University aims to train creative and professional jewelry designers and jewelry MDs who will lead the field of jewelry design, which is a higher valued-added business spotlighted in the 21st century. We develop students’ creativity through the fundamental molding training course, and focus on providing specialized on-the-job training courses on jewelry design, jewelry CAD, and jewelry marketing.
This department was born as the Department of Industrial Design in 1972 at Soong Eui Women’s University which was founded in 1903, and is a department with tradition that has become the current Department of Jewelry Design. Soong Eui Women’s University located in Myeong-dong, Seoul is geographically very close to the industrial sites of jewelry design such as Jongno, Dongdaemun, Apgujeong, and Cheongdam. The scene of our education is the industrial sites, and through this, the students will experience something more than they ever imagined while attending our university.

- To foster professionals in the jewelry industry equipped with good character based on the Christian spirit.
- To foster talented women who can take on challenges with a creative spirit and share what they learned with the society
- To foster specialists who will lead the jewelry industry, which is a higher value-added industry, new growth engine industry, and future industry through educating ‘jewelry designers’ and ‘jewelry MDs’ demanded by the industrial scene through practice-centered technical training
